A Tribute to Tooty

A Tribute to Tooty

Yesterday was my baby girl's anniversary and today it is my dear friend Susan's own Tooty's anniversary of 4 years. And as a tribute to her, I used the Lyrics Challenge I am hosting over a Wilma4ever in her memory for Susan. I used the same lyrics again, that speaks volumes of the heartwrenching pain felt when letting them go. Though it is the greatest gift we can give to them, it doesn't stop it from hurting like hell when we do.
RIP dear Tooty.

I hope you like it, dear friend. I didn't have many photos of Toot and I spent more time searching my files for a different one than I did in making the page! lol

I used a combination of  Tootypup Scraps' "Dog Paws in Heaven" and "Cat Paws in Heaven" which you can find in her stores.

My Random Challenge @ Wilma4ever!

My scrapping and real life friend, Susan of Tootypup Scraps, is hosting the Random Challenge over at the Wilma4ever Forum. And to help support her I have undertaken her challenge featuring her "Just Beachy" kit. She supplies us with a Sampler of her kit for free, but you can purchase the full kit in the store while it is on sale.

Anyway, these are my results with her kit. Featuring some lovely photos of Lake Macquarie and Mereweather Beach, as well we two younger versions of myself. lol I really enjoyed working with this kit, and if you would like to participate in the challenge, just go to the Random Challenge at Wilma4ever to play.

Hope to see you there!

Halloween Tag Challenge

OK, my dear friend Susan of Tootypup Scraps has been on my case hounding me every week if I was going to do her tag challenge in the Wilma4ever forum...lol I have had a ton on my plate the last few months I wasn't sure what I would be able to do but yesterday I felt in the mood to tag, so I decided to give it a go. I've been taken with the forum style of tagging...lol Though this is my first attempt with making a matching Avatar.

Paws in Heaven Challenge featuring Sheba

Over on the Wilma4ever Forum, my dear friend is Designer of the Month and has a challenge featuring a few select items from three of her latest kits. I did this challenge last week also but I was inspired to do another challenge tag but this time featuring my beloved Sheba and one just for Susan of Tootypup Scraps featuring her beloved Tootypup, both of whom left us for Rainbow Bridge 5 and 3 years ago respectively next week - Sheba on 22nd September 2008 and Tooty on 23rd September 2010.

So in honour of our dear departed friends, I have created these two tags in their memory. May they run free at the Bridge, forever living long in our hearts.

Meet Stina and Susan

I figured our fans would like to see us both together (Designs by Stina and Tootypup Scraps) even if just as proof that we aren't actually the same person....lol....as some people in the design world have often believed. Yes, Susan and I, while we do share the same surname, are really TWO different people and aren't actually related.

These were taken on the PV Rothbury (a diesel-run paddleboat) on the Murray River that Jeff and I took us all out on as a thank you to Susan for having us, as sadly our holiday has come to an end and we leave Mildura tomorrow. And Susan will have you know that these photos were taken under duress...lol...since she hates all photos of her. But I still wuvs her to bitses! lol

Birthday at Rainbow Bridge Tutorial by Me

I seem a little out of practice writing tutorials but as I started this tag today as a special tribute to my good friend Susan's faithful friend I decided to write it up as a tutorial as well.
Susan's Tooty, went to Rainbow Bridge 6 months ago last September and I remember the pain of all "the firsts" after they have gone. Today marks what would have been Tooty's 18th birthday so I decided to write this tutorial using Susan's part of the "Rainbow Bridge" collab we did together in honour of dear Tooty. I never got to meet Toot, as she went to Rainbow Bridge just 3 weeks before my visit. But I know all about the undying love and faithful devotion our furry friends give us when they are here.

To Toots....and to my wonderful dear friend Susan, who now has another faithful companion (who chewed through the TV coaxial cable this afternoon leaving her with no TV...lol) called Rebel, and whom I call Lil Miss Mud Pie (as she frolicks in the fish pond and then traipses through the dirt. lol)

An Aussie Christmas Tag by Me!

I had a request to make an Aussie Christmas tag from a very special friend of mine, and though I haven't yet done an Aussie Christmas kit this year (it's on my TO DO list...lol) I used Susan's gorgeous "Koala Christmas" available from Aussie Scraps.
Didn't feel much like tutting it so just had a play with some mindless tagging...lol I made it both with and without the greeting.

A Very Special Kit - "You've Got a Friend"

:: YOU'VE GOT A FRIEND ::

This is a very special kit for a special person - my dear friend Susan (whom everyone knows as Tootypup). She is going through a tough time at the moment with the loss of her partner, but I was reminded that through it all, like those of us blessed with the cherished and unconditional love of a pet - she has a friend. A very special friend.

Susan has a black lab called Tootypup, now 17 years old and who is her best friend. Tooty has been there with her through thick and thin near on two decades and has always been the source of great comfort to her. And I couldn't help but think that no matter what our "pups" as Susan as I call them, are always there for us - and that through it all, we've always got a friend.

You just call out my name
and you know where ever I am
I'll come running
To see you again...
Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you have to do is call
And I'll be there -
You've got a friend!
