What Will Be Your Legacy? - Week 2 @ Wilma4ever

August is recognized as What Will Be Your Legacy? month. It was founded by motivational speaker and novelist, Martha J. Ross-Rodgers, in honor of her mother.

Scrapbooking is a huge way to leave a legacy for future generations. What do your scrapbooks say about you? Will your great-grandchildren know who you are and how you lived your life?

This month we will be creating a layout a week to help not only advance your scrapping art form, but transform you into a “LEGACY LEAVER” for future generations!

Week 2: Aug 10-16
- Take a few minutes and make a list of 10 words that describe you, not what others think but what YOU think describes you!
- Now using that word list create a one page layout that will be like a love letter to yourself about yourself to remind you of how unique, amazing, and imperfectly perfect you are!
- Include at least one photo of yourself

I'm really happy with how it turned out. I used my "The Blue Butterfly" kit, as blue is my favourite colour so I thought it reflected me quite well for this challenge. And the ten words I listed, I chose those for each letter of my name. However, as there are only 9 letters in my name, I added an S for my surname to make up the 10. All the photos are all selfies, interestingly enough...lol
"The Blue Butterfly" can be purchased here

Week 4: Aug 24-31
- Using a HEART SHAPE as your focus, create a 1 page layout that expresses
where your heart lies

- Use the Title "Where My Heart Is..."

- Reflect on where your own heart lies...
What gifts do you have that you could be sharing with others
What do you think about when you daydream?
Where could you serve that would make a difference?
What in your everyday life inspires you to give back?

When I saw this theme, I just KNEW what I would scrap!
And where my heart is so will be my legacy...
My babies - Ciara and Dexter in the heart, and my two angel babies now at Rainbow Bridge, Sheba and Jasper.
Featuring my "Show the Wuv" kit which can be purchased here

Week 1: Aug 1-9
- Do a one page layout on someone or something that you are inspired by
- Journal a short paragraph about this person or thing
- Include the word "INSPIRE" or "INSPIRED" in your layout

What better person to be inspired by that my beautiful mother, featuring my "Oh, Happy Day" kit, which is available for purchase here. The epitome of selflessness and compassion, a most loving and generous soul. Anyone who meets her is touched by disposition of inner beauty and selflessness. She is the kind of person anyone could ever hope to be. She is my beautiful mother.

 Week 3: Aug 17-23
- Sit and observe some sort of nature. Look at the clouds, flowers, watch a bird in flight, anything where you are sitting still in solitude enjoying your surroundings outside. (if you can't go outside, look through a window, or experience nature indoors via pets or television or internet or etc)
- Now complete a one page layout about your "SOLITUDE" moment

As it is nearly Spring here, I was preparing my vege garden for sugar snap peas I will be planting in the next week (when it stops raining...lol) This is a photo of my vege garden after I had cleared it of old plants, weeds and then dug it up, turned the soil, then prepared it with lime and chicken manure. I thought it was very apt for this theme. I also wrote the little poem for the layout.
The kit featured is "Honey to the Bee" which can be purchased here.

And here are a couple of extras I did, capturing a day last week when I went out with my mum and dad for lunch in the park, and walked my dogs by the Nepean River. It was a gorgeous day, and perfect place to enjoy the beauty and tranquility.
This kit featured is "May Day" which can be purchased here.
